THE YEAR OF THE DRAGON?

RAT

Use the Dragon’s energy to learn, improve job skills get more physical exercise, and focus on eliminating bad habits. Build your relationships with others to improve your network of professional contacts.  After the turmoil of the past few years, finances are steady. Be conservative in your investments and energy output. You’re not out of the water yet but at last, you can see the shore.

OX

Dragon’s flamboyance is completely antithetical to Ox’s “keep-your-nose-to-the grindstone” nature.  Nevertheless, this is a year to make quiet progress in all areas of life by continuing to do your job well and being available when the competition fails to walk their talk. Don’t despair when dramatic Dragon energy trumps your steady pace. Keep yourself in a good mood by meditating and getting out in nature.

TIGER

Tigers and Dragons are equally fierce and powerful but the Dragon usually wins because it can fly. So this year, stay away from arguments and confrontations with your loved ones and those in power and focus on maintaining good health.  Moving and traveling are favored as are all creative pursuits. So if there is a screenplay in your closet, get to work.

RABBIT

No arguments or disagreements, please! Your friends have your back when a poisonous, jealous Dragon tries to muck up your success. Practice your tai chi. Use leverage, reflex, sensitivity, timing, coordination and positioning to redirect your opponents’ force. Stay positive, sleep and eat regularly, and socialize only with those who love you. Carry a Dog pendant (your secret friend) for added protection.  

DRAGON

Just because it’s your year, doesn’t mean that it’s completely smooth sailing (or flying) as the case may be.  Be careful how you use your considerable power. Others are impressed by your creativity and forcefulness but it would help to show your vulnerability occasionally.  You will need allies when power struggles arise.  Finances improve but through hard work not windfalls. Love? Take it slow and easy.  Wearing a Rooster pendant, bagua, or Om symbol will help diffuse negativity

SNAKE

Snake is a baby Dragon.  It is said that a Dragon on the ground becomes a Snake and a big flying Snake becomes a Dragon! You will do very well this year but as a supporting player, not the featured star.  Money comes and goes and sound money management is crucial. Short-circuit any potential health problems by committing to good health habits. Your frayed nerves will thank you

HORSE

Dragon functions as your guide giving you a fabulous opportunity for a great run! Take off, but in all matters don’t be reckless. Lucky career opportunities abound if you can follow your advisors. Refrain from trying to grab headlines! Money comes in steadily but don’t be tempted to gamble. Safety comes first when walking, driving or dancing. And make time for rest to recuperate from all that running.

SHEEP

Dragon is very simpatico with Sheep since both contain mainly Earth. You will have opportunities to be patted and stroked since your elegant nature will shine despite Dragon’s solitary nature. Work proceeds nicely as long as you continue to be a good team player.   Pay attention to your stomach, spleen, and pancreas.  Go light on sugar if you can.  Just in a bowl - sweetness from people is definitely allowed and encouraged.

MONKEY

One of your best years in the 12-year cycle. Monkey is a Metal animal and earthy Dragon creates and protects you. Everything goes well as long as you don’t become arrogant.  One caveat here is your health.  A protective rooster pendant can help but you will need to

ROOSTER

Time to move back out into the barnyard and crow!  The Dragon harmonizes with your natural ability to step into the limelight. Your social life blooms with the “Flower of Romance”! Don’t forget to rest and rejuvenate so that you can take advantage all the good times and opportunities you’ll have to meet kindred spirits. If you don’t already, it’s time to meditate and practice tai chi, yoga, and qigong.

DOG

Despite the fact that you both are guardians of Heaven’s gates, you are in direct clash with Dragon this year. Keep expenditures down and be prepared for more traveling and even a move, but stay away from the southeast! Concentrate on staying healthy and keep a low profile. Carry a Rooster pendant with you to lure the Dragon away or wear an om symbol or bagua for protection.

PIG

Pigs are mostly lucky in Dragon years. Ironically, dealing with intense ups and downs can actually make you smarter (unfortunately, not richer). Obstacles will show you who your friends are and if you are looking for love, this is can be a fortunate time. Be careful though if you are already attached and have a roving eye.  You will definitely have trouble next year if you disturb your relationship life in a Dragon year.
