WEEKLY CLASSES

All classes during June will be outdoors, weather permitting, in the West Village at the small park on Horatio between 8th Avenue and Hudson Street. Take the 8th Avenue subway to 14th Street and walk downtown. Turn right when you get to Horatio St. (it's only few blocks) and walk over to Hudson and enter the basketball court there. Walk toward the children's playground and you will see me.

SHENG ZHEN is a form of qigong that works through elegant movements and meditations inspired by the world's great spiritual traditions.  Come practice forms you know and pick up some beautiful new movemnts.

TAI CHI CHI KUNG

SHENG ZHEN WUJI YUAN GONG - "KUAN YIN STANDING"

This form of qigong works through elegant movements and meditations inspired by the world's great spiritual traditions. Kwan Yin Standing Qigong (named for the Chinese goddess of compassion) strengthens & purifies the energy channels & the spine in addition to giving one healthier muscles. The practice enables the chi to take over from the will, allowing your heart to open gradually to greater health and happiness. A perfect place to begin if you've never done qigong.

SHENG ZHEN WUJI YUAN GONG - "LAO TZU RETURNS TO SPRING"

Increase your flexibility, poise and presence while developing a lighthearted and happy spirit. “Return to Spring” means returning to nature. Develop your beauty, goodness and vitality with this fascinating movement series. A perfect place to begin if you are new to the practice of qigong.

SHENG ZHEN HEALING QIGONG Healing Qigong is an easy method to learn and enjoyable to practice. Performed sitting in a chair, it utilizes the breath, simple movements, and the power of the mind to create a field of powerful healing energy that enables you, the practitioner to shift into a state of increased vitality & awareness. With regular practice, this results in a decrease of pain and accelerated healing.

WUDANG TAI CHI "When you are suddenly awakened to the great cosmic truth that you do not have a physical body but are actually a boundless flow of energy in unity with the energy of the cosmos, you will have achieved the highest aim of Tai Chi Chuan."

This is the goal of Wudang Tai Chi. If you loved "Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon", "Hero" and all of the other recent beautifully filmed martial arts movies, you will love Wudang Tai Chi. A combination form including principles from Tai Chi, Shing Xi, and Ba Gua, its dynamic movements challenge you to stretch your mind and body and let your energy flow.

SHENG ZHEN WUJI YUAN GONG - "MOHAMMED STANDING QIGONG"

Mohammed Standing Qigong is a vigorous set with expansive, free-flowing movements. On the physical level, it can alleviate many ailments of the digestive and circulatory system as well as increasing one’s overall stamina. Emotionally, it teaches one to have a peaceful heart, full of good intentions - not affected by distractions or emotional conflicts. Practicing this qigong has the effect of expanding one’s sense of community.
